New Ward, New Calling

Tim and I are in the Sundance Ward now and we actually like it! its pretty close to our home, only our ward starts at 8. Who ever decided that was a good idea!? Any way, We got callings right away and we are...

Drum Roll Please....

Primary Workers. More specifically we are Sunbeams 3 teachers! We have the CUTEST kids! When we first started I was like.. Uhmm.. You are kidding me right? 3 year olds!? I just got done taming 12 year olds and now I'm teaching 3 year olds!? You dont want Tim and I to have kids do you!? 

Well.. Luckily it hasnt been as nightmarish as I thought it would be.. 

We substituted first and the class was huge and i had no idea what we were doing. Then they split the class, and the previous teachers (took all the kids i liked) gave us a rumbustious class. but it is smaller, so thats good.  any way we have taught three sundays now, and this last sunday we taught them the lesson "I am Thankful for my nose and tongue" We went on a walk to smell some flowers and Tim snuck a picture!

Standing next to me in the White dress is Eva, she is a very good listener, but likes to hurry things along. To the left of me is Myron, his mommy and daddy are the previous teachers, so he has a hard time being in our class. Brooklyn is in the pink dress with her back to us and she is such a 3 year old. Very talkative, but also a great kid! We have to work on her a little more because she can get rather loud! Bending over the flowers in pink is Sophie, She is new to our ward as her family just moved here, and she is such a cutie! She is so smart and answers alot of questions! Next is Levi, and he is flat out adorable! hes very quiet but once you ask him a question like "do you have a pet, or know some one with a pet?' He proceeds to tell you about all the friends with pets he knows! :) Lastly is lil Emma, She doesnt like to talk. our first lesson with her, she sat with her arms folded and legs crossed like a lil lady. She wouldnt talk at all. Now she talks a little when we talk to her, and she even offered to give a prayer! I'm not totally sure if her speech is underdeveloped but I like her! :)

Any way, I love my little class! They are a joy to teach! Tim says im so good with them, but I ususally worry more than he does.. :D

Any way, Happy Memorial Day! we are going to a bbq with my family and then to see Pirates of the Caribbean! 

New House

Yes, I know I haven't been on here for a while.. sorry.. But I am so EXCITED!

We are getting a House!

I was starting to lose faith that Tim and I would never find an affordable, two story home. We were almost settling for a one story that was small, but decent. and then, I found it on the website our Realtor(Tim's Dad) gave us, and it literally had just been posted one day before I saw it! 

So, Tim and I jumped in the truck with Bob and drove out there to see it real quick (before it got to dark) and FELL IN LOVE! Of course there are a few things that need to be fixed before we move in... but I'll explain as I post pictures.. You will understand.... :)

This is the outside of our home! There are a LOT of pigeons, so the roof needs to be cleaned off and MORE (yes, more) spikes need to be put up so that those dirty birds will go away. Also the walk way needs to be cleaned as they have dirtied our walkway also.

NEXT:

Entry way, We are gonna rip of the carpets in this and the family room (next slide) and the closet in the center of the the picture. We need to either clean or replace the carpets on the stairs and in the loft area.

This is the Family room

Turn to the right is the Dining room/Kitchen. I am showing the kitchen first so you don't squint to see the other one.. :) EVENTUALLY I would like to replace the counter tops.. 

Dining area! I want to replace the light fixture with something less Gold. :)

Downstairs Restroom, as you enter the Garage, you'll go through the laundry room (sorry no pictures) and then there will be a pantry door and a bath room door!

After you go up stairs on the right side is bedroom number one! I LOVE this room! I want to turn it into my "Scrap/Craft/Office" room. There is an awsm purple stain on the carpet that you cant see and we need to fix it! Out the window is our backyard!

If you come up the stairs and keep going straight, skipping the right turn into the bdrm, is the loft. its a little smaller than I wanted, but its a loft and that is where the tv goes. Yes, that is a walk in closet where all the movies and games and possibly food storage will go!

Now when you round the corner there is another bdrm, sadly no picture, I cant understand why they wouldnt have it showing honestly.. It is such a nice room, I want to make it the guest bdrm. but any way, right across from the door to the bdrm is the upstairs bathroom! It is actually the cleanest bathroom we have seen out of all the houses! and the Faucets are really nice! Btwn the bedroom and bath is a deep closet, perfect for towels and food storage toiletries!

Ahh yes. The infamous Spidy room. This is Tims room when he is naughty. :) JUST KIDDING! Avery wants me to paint one wall blue and one wall green for her and Rylan. "those would be our sides!" haha silly girl. Although the plan is to primer this bad boy as soooooon as possible. I would like to make it avery and rylans room so that when they come to stay with us they can.. future though will be a nursery.

The Master bedroom! Hey! Thats mine and Tim's room! SWEET! It looks really small because of the color, but it is actually pretty big! plus that door way  is a big walk in closet! dont worry, the first plan of action is to primer this room stat and put up a creamy color that will warm up and give the illusion of a bigger room! 

Yea, thats dark purple too.. I dont know if these people had any idea what they were doing... I would like to rip out that shower and do something else with it.. also this room will be painted to match the bedroom so that it will look larger than it is. It is slightly smaller than i'd like, but its perfect for Tim and I to move around. :) What you dont see it on the right of the shower is a door. Through that door is a toilet room! YAY! hahahah! some privacy.

From the far left side of the back yard is the right side! Pretty huge I know! we would like to scoop up all the rock and put it on the sides of the house, and then lay down a bit of sod for our puppy (whenever we get her) and hopefully do a Garden on the other half.

Here is the backyard straight back, there is a mister system and an "Curtain" on one side to block the sun as it is setting! 

and the far right side of the backyard to show the left! yep, it has a satalite! don't mean a thing though as I'd rather just go to my parents or Bethanys and watch Tv. 

And thats all she wrote! Tim and I get excited more and more everyday! We cannot wait to move into our new home! Hopefully the closing date will be early March. But we are not holding our breath. :|

Just one of those days..

Seriously, today was one of those days

I literally left my house once and that was to get Tim some food so that he would feel better.

Unfortunately 

I feel like today was one of the loneliest days of my life.

Luckily

I was able to produce two pages in my scrap book.

I realize that I have not written on here in a while, so I am going to give you all a little update.

Tim started Rugby again, so I've lost my husband..

I am having problems getting a hold of  the school to get my classes so I'm probably not going to school this semester. 

the Good news is that I am immune to Measles. yay.

Today I didn't take him to work so I didn't actually have to get up or out of bed. 

so I laid in bed till 10. 

Packed up some bathroom things so that we don't have so much to do the last few days when the lease is up. 

After that I watched a ton of Psych. Pretty funny actually. 

Now I am here alone while Tim plays Rugby..

YAY!! Today is DEC 7, 2010!! and, its my Birthday! I am 25 years old! I know, I know, I can't even believe it!! 

Of course Tim can't wait for me to open my present (he wanted me to open it last night!! Hehe!) so he goes and grabs it real quick and throws it into my lap! (at 6:40a)

GUESS WHAT I GOT!!!!! :)

YAY!! A CRICUT!!!

 I AM SOOO HAPPY!!!

It was missing the second part of the power cord!! haha!! :)

Not to worry! i got that all taken care of ! Now I am a crazy crafting lady and have gone a little over board with my paper and stickers.. and I AM SO EXCITED!! I love that thing!

I have the best husband!!

After i took Timmie to work i came home and got ready for the day, Janelle brought me breakfast and it was sooo yummy! A Denny's slamwhich!

Then i met up with my Sister Mom and BABY!!! watched them bowl and held my baby!!
Then we went to Chili's for lunch! not to bad, not to good.. :)

Then, the hunt began. We went to a ton of thrift stores looking for Ugly sweatshirts for the Christmas party.. hahah!! we found some scary things! Pictures will follow after the party!

Then dinner at Big heng Our Favorite family restaurant!

Then i had class.. Boo.

After class i went over to Tims parents to pick up our FREE Ps3! :) it was there i was suprised with a sheet cake and birfday cards!

What An AMAZING BIRTHDAY!!!!

I really had a great day! Thanks to everyone who made it special!

New car, new Problems..

So as most of you know, Tim and I finally got a car!! Only to inherit more problems.. Geez..

First off, we knew the tires were low profile when we purchased it.. we didn't know, however, that the front right tire would tear when we went through a car wash.. SO, we've been driving on a donut.. 

Second, the tranny started acting funny.. it was pretending that Drive was not an option and that Neutral was where its at.. Luckily we have a 3 month, 70,000 mile warranty on the transmission and we are going to get that checked out next.

Third we need to replace windshield wipers. 

Other than that, we LOVE our car! she is perfect in every-way(minus the above mentioned items..)! 

We washed her, waxed her, and even oiled the inside clean, purchased an air freshener, got her oil changed and topped off her other fluids! We even gave her a Full tank!

1. when is your "marriage" anniversary? "engagement" anniversary?

Marriage October 29th 2010 and our engagement anniversary is Sept 4th 2010! :)

2. where/how did you meet your spouse for the first time?

Sooo Cheesy.. We actually met at FHE in our singles ward. I just got home from my mission so I was overly friendly and met just about everyone that night.  Then I saw Tim and could not get over how stinkin funny he was! That night a small group got together and we went to In n Out before heading up to Verrado and longboarding.. He wasnt planning on going, but he says that he felt like he had to. AND THE REST IS HISTORY! :D

3. how long have you known your spouse:

2 years in july :)

4. how long did you date/court before you were engaged?

One year and one month! 

5. do you have any children:

Not yet.. we're gonna spend some quality time together..

6. do you have any house pets:

Well. We have a fish named Finn. and he LOVES me.. Tim is quite jealous actually! 

7. what are some of your favorite activities together:

Anything together! lately it has been car shopping and cleaning.. but we love watching movies and playing games..

8. do you have a favorite vacation spot:

The only place we have been on vacation to was San Diego and it was wonderful!

9. where was your first date?

Actually it was a double date and it was at our friends house, we watched the movie ink heart and then wrestled. I am pretty sure i won. :)

10. when did you first kiss? 

the same night. which was not what was intended.. We both didnt want to and it just kind of happened.. Magical. :) of course it was just a simple cute kiss.

11. who said i love you first? 

obviously it was me.. but it was more of a "I'm not going to say it all the time, but I do love you.." kind of thing.. to which he replied I know. I love you too. And then i guess I lied cause after that we said it all the time.. :D

12. did you get married in a church? 

We were married in the Mesa Arizona Temple

13. do you get flowers often?

When we got closer to being engaged yes.. but its not a big deal to me if i do or dont

14. where did you go on your honeymoon:

We haven't taken our official honeymoon yet, but our mini one was taken to Scottsdale for the weekend! We had a nice little place that was a smidge bigger than the apartment and we went to see jack@ss 3.. :) it was awsm.. I am hoping for the real one that we go to Cali and go to Disneyland! 

15. how long did you know each other before you started dating?

 a week. hehe

16. what do you call each other most of the time?

Tim: babe, tuddles, lover
Brit: Bunny, baby, sweetass(his personal favorite i guess)

17.where dID YOU EACH GO TO school?

Tim went to El Torro High in Cali and then Estrella Mountian
Brit went to Peoria High, Glendale Comm, Estrella Mountian, and recently just got accepted to ASU. 

18. which situation is the hardest on you as a couple?

Finding a car. Since i wrecked it we have been stressed out trying to find the right one for our budget and our family

19. did you go to the same school?

Well, we went to EMCC during the summer but didnt have any classes together

20. are you from the same home town?

Nope.. He's a Cali boy and i'm from peoria

21. who is smarter?

I guess it depends, he is a know it all and really does know a lot, I think of things that he doesnt think of so he thinks I'm just so smart!

22. who is more sensitive?

Tim. He cried at the wedding and I wouldn't budge. haha that sounds so heartless but i was not about to mess up my eye make up! 

23.where do you eat out most as a couple?

In N out.. but not lately.. its been super random never the same thing twice.

24. what attracted you about him/her first?

His sense of humor and how kind he was. For some reason I am a sucker for facial hair and at the time he was growing out a beard.. :D

25. who is more social?

Def Tim. I thought I was a social butterfly till I met Tim. He knows EVERYONE.

26. who is the neat-freak?

it would be me. tim cleans but doesnt get anxiety when there are piles that need to be dealt with. I can't even look at big messes or I freak out. With the still moving in stuff I have been really bad about not cleaning.. ugh..

28. who hogs the bed?

Me.. but its not on purpose! somehow my side of the bed is a little higher so i end up rolling into him by morning..

29. who wakes up earlier?

Right now we get up at the same time, but i hear the alarm first.

30. what are his favorite things and her favorite things?

Tim: Surfing, Playing games, Gym, Rugby, anything active, movies, playing with his new neices and nephew!
Brit: Scrap booking, reading, Being w/ Family, attempting to cook, attempting crafts

Newly Weds

Some times I get really down on myself..

Last night I attempted dinner.. it would have been sooo good if I HADNT followed the timing directions.. The chicken ended up being burned and tasted funny. At least the salad was good and the rice was good. I learned that i like ranch on my rice too so that was exciting! And at least the apartment was finally clean! I am soo grateful that i had the energy to finally clean out the front room..

Today I have work and school and then Tim and I HAVE to finish our Thank you cards.. Its important for everyone to know how truly thankful we are...

I Love my Husband!! He always reassures me that he loves me and wants me to be happy! I am grateful for his hard work and understanding!  And I LOVE our little apartment.. I will post a few pictures soon! :)
